Click LVT is quick to fit and fine for most rooms. Glue-down LVT on a smoothed subfloor is the premium option for kitchens and open-plan spaces. We’ll recommend the right one for your room and budget.

Subfloor preparation

LVT shows every lump, dip and board line underneath it. We always level the floor first. It’s why our LVT stays flat for years, and why some cheaper quotes leave it out.

• Self-levelling (latex): a smoothing compound poured over concrete or old floors that settles out flat and dries hard.
• Ply boarding: thin plywood sheets screwed down over floorboards so gaps and board lines don’t show through.

Prep is shown as its own line on your quote, estimated and confirmed at survey. If extra levelling is needed once the old floor is up, it’s charged per bag used, and we’ll show you before carrying on.

A flat floor also stops click joints flexing and opening up, and stops glue-down planks lifting at the edges.
